The Life of RICHARD WALKER LAMAR

Anna B. LaMar, 56, of 5480 N.E. First St., died of cancer Tuesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center.  Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. LaMar was born in Osceola and had lived in Des Moines 25 years.  She retired from the machine shop at Maytag after eight years.  She was a member of the United Auto Workers union at Maytag.

Survivors include her husband, Richard; three daughters, Carolyn Nichols and Angela Hill, both of Des Moines and Kathleen Hill of Ankeny; her mother, Minnie McCarl of Bruner, MO; three brothers, Ivan McCarl of Bosier City, LA., Russell McCarl of San Jose, CA, and Leonard McCarl of Des Moines; three sisters, Arlene Roberts of Haughton, MO, Florence Culling of Bruner, MO, and Mary Lou Davis of Scottsdale, AZ; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at the funeral home.
