The Life of HARRIS EARL NEEDLES
Mr. Harris Needles, 76, died Sunday, June 6, 2004 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 10 at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
Harris was born February 18, 1928 in Indianola, IA. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and worked as a telephone switchman for Northwestern Bell. Harris was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and VFW Post 9662.
He is survived by his wife, DeLaine of Des Moines; daughter Rebecca Needles Light of San Bernardino, CA; son, Michael Wayne Needles of Dallas Center; sister, Mary Duff of Des Moines; and four grandchildren, Mikaela Needles, Tyler Light, Andrew Light and Caleb Light. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Homes Needles; and sisters, Edith Coughlin and Hildreth Crangle.
Visitation is from 12 to 2 p.m. Thursday prior to services at the funeral home.
