The Life of WILLIAM ALLEN PRATHER
Memorial services for William A. Prather, 77, of 4111 Ingersoll Ave., will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Simpson United Methodist Church. The body has been donated to the University of Iowa College of Medicine.
Mr. Prather died of cancer Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
Mr. Prather, a native of Kansas, Ill., lived in Des Moines for 46 years. He was a retired employee of the Savery Hotel and earlier had worked for the Des Moines Ice and Fuel Co. He was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; a daughter, Betty Colleen Baker of Slater; a son, Cecil of Des Moines; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
