The Life of RUDENA YOUNG
Rudena Young, 87, of Union Park Health Services died of pneumonia and congestive heart failure Friday at Hospice Kavanagh House. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Young was born in Cairo, Ill., and had lived in Woodward before moving to Des Moines 42 years ago. She was a homemaker and had worked for Des Moines Dairy. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
She is survived by a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Breen of Johnston; a stepson, Tom of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellsworth.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
