The Life of EDWARD J VANDERLOO

Edward J. Vanderloo, 79, of the 5100 block of Cottage Drive, Pleasant Hill, died of a heart attack Monday at Mercy Medical Center.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Dahlstrom''s Family Funeral Care.  Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Born in Carroll, Mr. Vanderloo moved to the Des Moines area in 1955.  He was a retired printer with The Des Moines Register, a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Masonic Daylight Lodge and Typographical Union.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; three daughters, Linda Vanderloo of Urbandale, Kathryn Weatherwax of Ankeny and Janet Thompson of Des Moines; two sisters, Evelyn Snyder of Carroll and Agnes Burgart of Texas; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Hill Rescue Squad.
