The Life of MARILYN JOAN REED MARTIN
On Saturday, June 1, 2002 Marily J Reed Martin died, at her residence, from complications of lung cancer. While events like this happen everyday to people all across our nation, Marilyn''s passing is a significant loss to her family and also to her friends at Highland County Senior Citizens Center and at Laurel''s Nursing Center in Hillsboro, Ohio, where Marilyn served as a volunteer.
Marilyn was born March 6, 1932 in Norwoodville, Iowa to Charles Lyman Reed and Catherine Leona (Newton) Reed. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parends, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two brothers: Mr. Charles Reed and Mr. John Reed.
Marilyn is survived by four daughters, Sandra Higgins of St. Paul, MN, Deborah Wells of Hillsboro, OH, Cathy Roose of Anoka, MN and Mary Foltz of Hill City, SD. Three sisters, Patricia Lloyd of Des Moines, Norma Smiley of Colorado Springs, CO, and Joyce Houge of Rapid City, SD. Two brothers: Jerry Reed of Oceanside, CA and Jim Reed of Cedar Rapids, IA.
Memorials can be directed to Hospice of Dayton at 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420. Services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
