The Life of DAVID JAMES WRIGHT JR.

David J. Wright, 57, of 3502 SW Court Ave., Ankeny, died of cancer Thursday at University Hospitals in Iowa City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Union Park United Methodist Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Wright was born in Lucas County and had lived in Ankeny most of his life. He had owned Chandler-Metelman Co. and Summertime Potato Co., and was a member of the Ankeny Golf and Country Club, the Izaak Walton League, the Masonic Lodge, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine, the United Fresh Fruit and Produce Association and the board of directors of Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Judy; a son, David III of Ankeny, a sister, Dorothy Hughes of Mount Ayr, and a brother, Charles of Ankeny. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Dahlstrom Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to his church or the Ankeny Golf and Country Club.
