The Life of HERBERT B NELSON

Services for Herbert Nelson, 66, of 1505 Wilson Ave. will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Dahlstrom Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetey.

Mr. Nelson died of cancer Saturday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.

A lifelong resident of Des Moines, he was a retired investment accountant for Equitable of Iowa Companies.  He was a member of First Lutheran Church and Boline-Manfriedi Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.

Survivors include his wife, Lorene; a son, Dennis of Ankeny; a daughter, Terry Swanson of Ankeny; his mother, Emily Nelson of Des Moines; two brothers, Richard and Vern, both of Des Moines; a sister, Betty Petersen of Oak Park, MI, and three grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Oncology Department at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.

Friends may call at the funeral home until 9 p.m. tonight.
