The Life of DARL JAMES SMITH Sr.
Darl James Smith, Sr., 77, of 1207 E 27th St. died of pneumonia Tuesday at Veterans Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Smith was born in Garden Grove and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He retired as a salesman for Long''s Auto Supply, was an Army veteran of World War II and had been a member of Eastgate Masonic Lodge.
Among survivors are his wife, Evelyn; a son, Jim Jr. of Norwalk; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the faily will meet friends from 6 to 9 p.m.
