The Life of WILLIAM E BIRD

Services for William E. Bird, 48, of 4020 Fifteenth St. will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Bird died of a heart attack at his home Tuesday.  He was born in Loveland, Ohio, formerly lived in East Los Angeles, CA, and came to Des Moines 18 years ago.  He was manager for Tucker's Truck and Equipment, 4444 Delaware Ave., and a member of Auburn Masonic Lodge, Des Moines Consistory and Calvary Baptist Church and was past Noble Grand of the Odd Fellows Lodge in East Los Angeles.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey; a daughter, Linda, and a son, William E. II, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Arnold of Bates City, MO; and a brother, Raymond of Fullerton, CA.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Calvary Baptist Church building fund.
