The Life of ROBERT ERNEST CLARK
Robert "Bob" Ernest Clark, 77, died on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at InTrust Taylor House Hospice. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2005 at Hamilton''s Funeral Home.
Bob was born on December 18, 1927 in Davenport, Iowa. He was a firefighter for the City of Des Moines until he retired in 1986. He was a Marine in the Marine Corps, a member of the American Legion, Baldwin Pattterson Post, Elks Lodge 98, and Iowa Firefighters Association.
Bob loved being with his family and friends. He enjoyed camping, bowling and golfing; was active in the Elks Lodge. He loved to be busy and enjoyed life.
He will be missed by his best friend and wife of 57 years, Beverly; daughter, Karen (Kent) Forbes of Lorimor, Iowa; grandchildren, Mike (Carrie) Hazen of Coral Springs, FL, David Hazen of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Jamey Johnston of Racine, WI, Scott Johnston of Des Moines, IA, and Lisa (Paul) Tolle of Van Meter, IA; tthree great-grandchildren, Tyler Johnston, Jordan Hazen and Kylie Hazen. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Cathy, four brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2005, at Hamilton''s Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Taylor House Hospice or Elks Lodge 98.
