The Life of BETTY JOANN MCDONALD
Betty Joann McDonald, 72, of the 2400 block of East 28th Street died of a heart ailment Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Union Park Baptist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. McDonald had lived in Des Moines all her life. She was a homemaker and had worked for Iowa Mutual Tornado Insurance Co., National Handcraft and Blue Grass Mill. She was a member of East High School Alumni Association.
Survivors include her husband, Fred; two sons, Dave of Camas, Wash., and Tom of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, Bill Berggren of Beaumont, Texas; a sister, Helene Nelson of Ankeny; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or Hospice of Central Iowa.
