The Life of ANTHONY R LEO
Anthony Leo, 71, of the 1100 block of Northwest 70th Ave. died of cancer Wednesday at Hospice Kavanagh House on 56th Street. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Tonini Funeral Home. Cremation will follow services.
Mr. Leo had lived in Des Moines all his life. He had owned L&S Pawn Shop and was retired from John Deere Des Moines Works in Ankeny. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; a daughter, Linda Rivera of Ankeny; a son, Tony Jr. of Ames; four brothers, Charles, James Pete and Joe and a sister, Mary Leo Defazio, all of Des Moines, and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
