The Life of MARY ANN BAIN

Mary Ann Bain, 76, of 4040 Bowdoin St., died of cancer Monday at home.  Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at All Saints Parish (St. Mel''s Chapel), of which she was a member.  Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Bain was born in Arthur and had lived in Des Moines since 1940.  She retired from the Starlite Village Best Western Hotel, where she was a banquet waitress.

Among survivors are her husband, Archie; a daughter, Sandy Nixon of Des Moines; two brothers, Herb Reis of Early, and Joe Reis of Omaha; five sisters, Rita Mitchell of Des Moines, Barbara Nieland of Sac City, Janet Luchtel of Grain Valley, MO, Florence Cook of Stuart, and Charlotte Latta of Ames; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, where a rosary will be receited at 5:30 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to her chruch or Hospice of Central Iowa.
