The Life of EDWIN CALVERT SHEEKS
Edwin C. Sheeks, 66, of Tucson, Ariz., died of pneumonia there May 7. The body was cremated and the graveside memorial services will be at 3 pm Saturday at Highland Memory Gardens cemetery in Des Moines.
Mr. Sheeks was born in Des Moines and lived in Arizona six years. He was a self-employed carpenter and a Marine Corps veteran, having served 16 years.
Survivors include three brothers, Fred of Johnston, Robert of North Branch, Mich., and Jerry of Ankeny; and two sisters, Gitta Bushbaum of Des Moines and Dixie Phillips of Suquermish, Wash.
Memorial contributations may be made to the American Heart Association. Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home handled arrangements.
