The Life of WALLACE REID HUTCHINSON
Wallace "Reid" Hutchinson, 68, of 833 NE 54th Ave. died of a stroke Monday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Hutchinson was a lifelong Des Moines resident. He retired as a pressman for The Des Moines Register, was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and had been a member of Marquisville United Methodist Church, Heart of Hawkeye Campers Club, the Register 20-year Club and the Graphic Communication International Union.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; three daughters, Reada Farrell, Regina Fry and Rhonda Goode, a son Ron and a brother, Paul, all of Des Moines; his stepmother, Mary Jane Hutchinson of Concord, CA; three sisters, Mary Ann Chittick of Olin, Jeannette Charles of Phoenix, AZ, and Georgia Berkenbosch of Prairie City; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
