The Life of MAMIE ABBOTT
Mamie Abbott, 92, of 3904 55th St. died Wednesday at Norwalk Manor of complications of a stroke. Services will be at noon today at Westover Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Abbott was born in Mystic and had lived in the Des Moines area for many years before moving to the care center in December. She retired as a cashier for Daniel''s Jewelry Store.
Survivors include two sons, Charles of Des Moines and John of Centralia, WA; a daughter, Virginia Summy of Des Moines; two sisters, Esther Hanlon of Winterset and Marie Kauzlarich of Des Moines; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Americna Heart Association.
