The Life of MARY HELMAN
Services for Mrs. Mary Helman, 88, of 2951 State St. will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Helman died Wednesday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital of a heart ailment after a lengthy illness.
A native of Missouri, she lived in Promise City before moving to Des Moines 14 years ago. She was a member of the Capitol Hill Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. F. Zona Ford of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Armeda Olson of Downey, CA, and Mrs. Marie Barnes of Mentone, CA; three grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
