The Life of LOREN DALLAS FORD
Services for Loren E. Ford, 62, of 3010 State Ave., will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Ford had been ill about three months and died of cancer Monday at Mercy Hospital.
Born in Stuart, Mr. Ford had lived in Des Moines 45 years and was a retired tavern operator and switch repair company employee.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a past president of the Pioneer Gun Club.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Zona; a son, Richard J. of Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Palmer and Mrs. Jeanne McGough, both of Des Moines; a brother, Paul of Des Moines; four sisters, Mrs. Warren Custer of Bradenton, FL, and Mrs. Roy Smith, Mrs. George Miller and Mrs. Jerry Wallace, all of Des Moines; and 15 grandchildren.
There will be a prayer service at 8:15 o''clock tonight at the funeral home.
