The Life of MAURICE WELTON TREGO
Maurice Welton Trego, 90, passed away Monday, July 10, 2006 at his home in Chariton. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Unity Lutheran Church in Des Moines with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Maurice was born in Cumberland, IA to Roy and Gertrude (Welton) Trego. He lived most of his life in Des Moines before moving to Chariton four and a half years ago.
Maurice was an engineer for the Iowa Public Broadcasting Network working in radio until his retirement. He was a longtime member of Unity Lutheran Church and Maurice loved working on radios in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife, Loris Thomas of Chariton; step-daughter, Dee Hibbs of Chariton and three step-grandsons. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marge.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at McLaren''s Chapel. Memorials may be directed to Unity Lutheran Church.
