The Life of EFFA FAYE OBRIEN
Effa Faye O''Brien, 93, of Calvin Manor, 4210 Hickman Road, died of a heart ailment Sunday at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Park Avenue Presbyterian Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. O''Brien was born in Knoxville and lived in Des Moines most of her life, retiring as a cafeteia employee for the Des Moines public schools. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star.
Among survivors are two daughters, Norma Diemer of St. Charles and Frances Lusk of Palos Verdes, CA; a sister, Martha Anne Canfield of Des Moines; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the church an hour before services.
