The Life of LAURA M STONE SIMPSON
Laura M Stone Simpson, 96, of the 1500 block of Office Park Road in West Des Moines died of a heart ailment Sunday at Fountain West Health Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Windor Heights Lutheran Chruch. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Simpson was born near Maxwell and had lived most of her life in the Des Moines area. She was a teacher and later worked for the Internal Revenue Service and the Iowa Department of Revenue. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a daughter, Diane Foshe of Des Moines; two sons, Reid of Austin, TX and Roger of Elk Grove, CA; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Westover Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church or Windsor Heights Lutheran Church.
