The Life of THEODORE B LONGENECKER

Theodore B Longenecker, 72, of the 1200 block of 20th St, West Des Moines, died of a heart ailment Friday at home. The body was cremated, and memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Episcopal Cathedral Church of St. Paul, of which he was a member. Private burial of the cremains will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Longenecker was born in Warsaw, IN, and had lived in the Des Moines area 55 years. He worked for Penn Mutual Life Insurance Co. and was president of HLP Insurance Co. before retiring. He had served on the board of directors for Junior Chamber of Commerce, Boy Scouts of America and Des Moines Association of Life Underwriters and was a member of Des Moines Chapter of Chartered Life Underwriters and Moingona Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed golfing and hunting. He is survived by a wife, Patricia; a daughter, Jane George of Winter Park, FL; two brothers, Glenn of Warsaw, IN, and Richard of Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ; two sisters, Jeanene Reynolds of Bristol, TN and June Suprenant of Fort Worth, TX; and five grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or his church. Dunn''s Funeral Home in Des Moines is handling arrangements.
