The Life of PERRY WADE SKINNER

Perry Wade Skinner, 47, of the 2600 block of East Sheridan Avenue died of cancer Monday at Hospice Kavanagh House.  Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Capitol Hill Christian Chruch, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Skinner had lived in Des Moines all his life.  He had worked for Porter Hardware.  He was always willing to help those in need and was a lifelong musician.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; two sons, John and Jacob, two step-daughters, Kristi Weber and Wendi Barnes, and his parents, John and Nadine Skinner, all of Des Moines; three sisters, Mary Engdahl of Altoona, Janean Lasswell of Sabastian, FL, and Virginia Constable of Pleasant Hill; and two brothers, Tom of Clear Lake and Jim of Coral Gables, FL.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Brooks Funeral Care.
