The Life of ROBERT LEROY BURNS
Services for Robert LeRoy Burns, 66, of 1909 Sixth Ave., will be at noon Monday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens.
Mr. Burns was dead on arrival Friday at Broadlawns Polk County Hospital after suffering a heart attack. He had been ill six years.
Mr. Burns was born in Adel and lived in Des Moines 65 years. He was a policeman on the Des Moines force for 13 years. He retired in 1942. He served in the Army during World War I and the Navy during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Helen; two brothers, Walter, and Thomas Burns, both of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Jensen of Polk City; a son, Robert J. Burns of Sepulveda, CA; a sister,Mrs. Emma Lee of Hope, AK, and four grandchildren.
