The Life of VERNA DARLENE BEDFORD
Verna D. Bedford of 1800 Watrous Ave. died of pneumonia Saturday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. She was 62. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Wakonda Christian Church, of which she was a member. The body was donated to the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences.
A lifelong Des Moines resident, she retired from the Iowa State Liquor Commission.
A sister, Jean Comstock of Phoenix, Ariz., survives.
