The Life of JEANANN WINEGARDNER

JeanAnn Winegardner, 59, of Bondurant died of cancer Sunday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.  The body was cremated, and memorial services will be at 10 a.m. today at Assured Care Funeral Chapel in Ankeny.  Private family burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.

Mrs. Winegardner was born in Des Moines and had lived in Altoona before moving to Bondurant eight years ago.  She was an accountant and bookkeeper with Manpower.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis; a daughter, Terri Degroot, and a son, Roger Short, both of Des Moines; two stepsons, Scott Winegardner and Steve Windgardner, both of Dallas, TX; her mother, Lavenna Conn of Des Moines; five brothers, Robert Van Houten of Altoona, Chuck Van Houten, Bud Van Houten and Jim Van Houten, all of Des Moines, and Dick Van Houten of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Christi Wenzel of Des Moines and Edna Hunt of Colorado Springs, CO; and four grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Cremation Society of Iowa is handling arrangements.
