The Life of THOMAS R MILLER
Thomas R. Miller, 66, of the 2200 block of Glenbrok Dr. died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Miller had lived in Des Moines all his life. He was a retired restaurant owner and a member of Grant Park Christian Church. He had served in the Air Force Reserve and enjoyed fishing and NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, Mike of Pleasant Hill; four daughters, Diane Ellis of Des Moines, Cate Newberg of Urbandale, Ronay Steffan of Maquoketa and Kelly Hood of Peoria, AZ; a step-son, Carl Gray Jr. of Colo; a step-daughter, Carlene Gray of Middleburg, FL; a sister, Audrey Dunn of Gridley, CO; 29 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
