The Life of DENNIS RAYMOND NEMMERS Sr.

A graveside service for Dennis R. Nemmers, Sr., 40, of 2820 Second St. will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Mr. Nemmers died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Thursday at home.

Dr. R.C. Wooters, Polk County Medical Examiner, ruled the death a suicide.

Mr. Nemmers was born in Bancroft and lived most of his life in Des Moines.  He was a self-employed refrigerator and air conditioner repairman.  He was a member of Auburn Masonic Lodge and Za-Ga-Zig Shrine.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Ann; two daughters, Michele Nemmers and Trese Nemmers, both of Des Moines; a son, Dennis R. Jr. of Des Moines; his father, Raymond of Des Moines; two sisters, Marge Bohmke and Mary Gray, both of Des Moines; two brothers, Jerry and Theodore, both of Des Moines, and his grandparents, Eva and Perry Hewitt of Scranton.
