The Life of ROY C BLAKELEY

Roy C. Blakeley, 75, of Collins died of cancer Sunday at Colonial Manor in Baxter. Services will be at noon Wednesday at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Des Moines, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Blakeley was born in Iowa Falls and moved to Collins six years ago after living in Des Moines most of his life. He retired as a truck driver for Yellow Freight, was an Army veteran of World War II and had been a member of the Boline-Manfredi Veterans of Foreign Wars post, Collins American Legion post, Home Masonic Lodge and Teamster retirees.

Surviving ar his wife, Maxine; two daughters, Sherrill Street of Collins, and Sandra Baker of Des Moines; two sons, Barry of Ankeny and Scott of Des Moines; two sisters, Minnie Hammond of Newton and Doris Lambert of Kansas City, MO; a brother, Frank of Dyer, ind.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
