The Life of CARL RICHARD SEALS

Carl R. "Dick" Seals, 75, of the 400 block of Northeast 54th Ave. died of multiple-system failure Friday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Seals was born in Corydon and lived in Des Moines most of his life.  He was a retired trimmer at Firestone Tire Co.  He was an Army veteran of World War II.  He was a member of American Legion and URW.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; three daughters, Sandie Cross of Ankeny, and Nancy Franklin and Dixie McWilliams, both of Des Moines; a son, Jerry of Marshalltown; his mother, Helen Seals of Des Moines; a sister, Bonnie Stookey of Hoyt Lakes, MN; a brother, Earle of Odessa, FL; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
