The Life of HAROLD W MCCULLOUGH

Harold W McCullough, 66, of 816 E. Sheridan Ave. died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Thursday at 3839 Cornell St.  The death was ruled a suicide by R.C. Wooters, Polk County medical examiner.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. McCullough was born in Graettinger and lived in Des Moines most of his life.  He was a self-employed golf course design and construction engineer.  He was a member of V.F.W. Post No. 9662, the American Legion, and a member and past president of the Iowa Golf Course Superintendents Association.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; three sons, Larry of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Vic and Jim, both of Des Moines; a daughter, Annette Lippert of Des Moines; a sister, Doris Sparland of Des Moines; six grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
