The Life of LARRY L DANIELS
Larry Daniels, 65, of Carlisle died November 24, 2005, after his brave battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 29, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held November 28, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Larry owned and operated a paint and body shop called Truck Painters, Inc. He also partnered with his wife, Verna at Family Farms Restaurant. His love of cooking took him to the Hartford Sportsman Club. He finished his working days part-time at the Carlisle Post Office.
He was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren.
Sunday gatherings were always a special time for family and friends to share food, camaraderie and as dad would say . . . memories.
He is survived by his wife, Verna Daniels of Carlisle; his children, Larry Daniels of Newton and Kathy Daniels of Des Moines; his brothers and sisters, Phillip Daniels of Knoxville, Gloria Sheeler and Nancy Henry of Altoona, Joyce Harter of Des Moines, Joe Harter of Arizona and Jerry Harter of Indiana; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Della Daniels; his stepmother, Helen Daniels; and his brother, Robert Daniels.
