Jermey "JT" Thompson, 20, died May 23, 2003 at Mercy Medical Center.  Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Colfax, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

JT graduated from Colfax-Mingo High School in 2002 and was a student at Des Moines Area Community College.  In high school he was involved in basketball, baseball, football, track, cross country, drama and chorus.  JT loved hanging out with his friends, camping and golfing and was a former member of the Boy Scouts.

He is survived by parents, Michael Sr. and Tami Thompson of Colfax; three brothers, Brandon, Trent and Michael Jr., all of Colfax; grandmother, Judy Beason of Colfax; grandparents, Robert and Carol Beason of Oskaloosa; uncles and aunts, Michelle Fitch of Altoona, Scott and Johanna Beason of Colfax, Steve and Patty Thompson of Pleasant Hill, Doug and Nona Thompson of Bevington, and Terrie Thompson, and numerous cousins.

Visitation is from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Jeremy Thompson Memorial Fund at the First State Bank in Colfax.  JT will be greatly missed by his loving family and many close friends.
