The Life of FRANK G ENGARD

Frank G. Engard, 88, of Waukee died of a heart ailment Monday at Adel Acres Care Center in Adel.  Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.

Mr. Engard was born in Chicago and had lived in Des Moines most of his life before moving to Waukee five months ago.  He was a retired supervisor with the US Postal Service and a member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees.  He had served as an American Red Cross first aid instructor and had been a Boy Scout leader.  He also had served with the Iowa National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Bill of Waukee and Gary of Seattle; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scouts of America.  Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines is handling arrangements.
