The Life of MARGARET E HALDER
Margaret E. Halder, 74, of 722 E 18th St., died of a heart ailment Wednesday at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, and burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Halder, a lifelong Des Moines resident, spent winters in LaFeria, Texas. She was a retired Des Moines public school teacher and also worked for Cascade Laundry. She had been been a member of Grandview Park Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Jerry; three stepsons, Jon of Omaha, Jerry Lee of Pocahontas and Robert of Storm Lake; a sister, Anne Saunders of Carlisle; seven step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchldren.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will meet friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer''s Disease Association.
