The Life of HELEN LOUISE WHITHAM
Helen Louise Whitham, 89, died Saturday, January 6, 2007 at CLC Norwalk. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Helen was born February 14, 1917 in Keota, IA. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, gardening, cooking and going to the Iowa State Fair with her grandsons. Helen is survived by her daughter, Cora (Arlan) Thompson-French; sons, James Whitham, William “Bill” (Betty) Whitham and Richard “Dick” (Carolyn) Whitham; sister, Ila Saltzman; brothers, Warren Baker, Robert Baker and Donnie Baker; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Whitham in 2002. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
