The Life of JACK L LOCKWOOD
Jack L. Lockwood, 70, of the 5400 block of Longview Court, Johnston, died of cancer Tuesday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Cremation will follow services.
Mr. Lockwood was born in Newton and had lived in Johnston three years. He was a retired machining superintendent with Maytag Corp., an Army Veteran of the Korean War and a past commander of AMVETS Post 2.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; three daughters, Melanie Hutchins of Des Moines, Lynne Ekstrum of Austin, TX, and Jackie Varnes of Mesa, AZ; a brother Edward of Lakeville, MN; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchldren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm. today at the funeral home.
