The Life of DONALD W WALKER

Donald W. Walker, 79, of Hartford died of pneumonia Monday at Des Moines General Hospital.  Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Stover Memorial Church of the Brethren.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.

Mr. Walker was born in Collins and lived in Des Moines from 1937 to 1974, when he retired and moved to rural Hartford.  He had been an employee of the Des Moines Transit Authority for 37 years.  He had been a member of Stover Memorial Church of the Brethren and Amalgamated Transit Union No. 441.

Survivors include his wife, Maude; three daughters, Katharyne Watson of Des Moines, Doris Kluesner of Ankeny, and Colleen Worthington of Hartford; a sister, Ruth Renshaw of West Des Moiens; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon today at Richardson Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
