The Life of VERA M HARLAN
Services for Mrs. Vera M. Harlan, 62, of 942 Sixty-fourth St., will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Harlan died of cancer Monday at the home of a daughter here after an illness of three months.
A native of Rockham, SD, she had lived in Des Moines for 50 years and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Chi Sigma Nu sorority.
Surviving are her husband, Omer S.; a son, Kenneth D. of Avenel, NJ; a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Thompson of Des Moines; four sisters, Mrs. Caroline O''Keefe, Mrs. Agnes Bosworth, Mrs. Grace Warren and Mrs. Blanche Speck, all of Des Moines; two brothers, LeRoy Nittler of San Leandro, CA, and Bernard Nittler of Aiken, MN; and 10 grandchildren.
