The Life of MAE ELVIRA DEWEY
Services for Mrs. Dale E. Dewey, 53, of 3309 E. Ninth St., who died of cancer Wednesday at Iowa Methodist Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Grand View Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Dewey was born in Boone County where she lived before moving to Des Moines 42 years ago. She was a stenographer for the Rock Island Motor Transit Co.
She was a member of Grand View Lutheran Church and the Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Dale R.; a daughter, Mrs. Fred Ellis; and her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Fred Nelson, all of Des Moines; three sisters, Mrs. Laureen Hinderhan of Alion, IL, Mrs. Frances Haggen and Mrs. Laura Thoren, both of Des Moines; and a grandson.
Mrs. Dewey''s body is at Hamilton''s Funeral Home.
The family suggets memorials in the form of contributions to Grand View Lutheran Church.
