The Life of VIOLETTA LA VERNE SHAFER
Mrs. Violetta Shafer, 49, of 506 Greeley Ave., died Saturday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital after undergoing surgery.
Born in Altoona, she lived here about 31 years. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Arnold''s Highland Park Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Shafer is survived by her husband Paul; two daughters, Mrs. James LeMar, and Mrs. Robert Bartelt, both of Des Moines; three sons, Donald Davis of Altoona, Paul Shafer, Jr., of Des Moines, and David R. Shafer on duty with the Navy; her mother, Mrs. Alice Eshelman; two brothers, Ralph and Donald Eshelman, all of Altoona; and 12 grandchildren.
