The Life of ROBERT JUSTUS DOUGLASS
Robert J Douglass, 74, of 2201 Capitol Ave. died of a respiratory ailment Wednesday at Des Moines General Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Douglass was born in Iowa Falls and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He retired as a parts and service manager for Dewey Ford and had owned a Texaco service station. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Eastgate Masonic Lodge, Bellizzi MacRae American Legion post and Simpson United Methodist Church.
Among survivors are his wife, Donna; a daughter, Linda Alexander of Forest Lake, MN; a son, Scott of Des Moines; two sisters, June Owen of Colorado Springs, CO, and Julia Butler of Des Moines and four grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
