The Life of CLYDE W FLAUGH

Clyde W. Flaugh, 73, of Norwalk died of a respiratory ailment Thursday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hamilton''''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Flaugh was born in Orient and had lived in Des Moines before moving to Norwalk 15 years ago. He was the owner of Flaugh''''s Auto Service Station in Des Moines, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Cumming American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Violet; two daughters, Sherry Butcher of Des Moines and Marsha Jennerjohn of Cedar Rapids; a son, James of Vinton; a brother, Harry of Los Alamos, N.M.; two sisters, Delores Schakel of Mount Ida, ARK., and Helen Waltz of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 2 to 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Amanda the Panda.
