The Life of JACOB T BROM

Services for Jacob T. Brom, 83, of 1821 45th St., who died of cancer Tuesday at home, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Westover Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Brom was born in Leighton and lived in Des Moines more than 60 years.  He retired in 1969 as a painter for Brom Auto and was a member of First Christian Church, Waveland Masonic Lodge 654, Royal Arch Masons and Temple Commandery.  He also was a past patron of Waveland Park Eastern Star, a past rainbow dad of Waveland Assembly and an honorary active member of the Za-Ga-Zig Arab Patrol.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; a son, Wayne of Des Moines; two sisters, Stella McClun and Hazel Vanderlinden, both of Oskaloosa; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
