The Life of LYNDA E SOUTH DETRICK LEWIS
Lynda E. South Detrick Lewis, 59, of the 6800 block of Aderman Lane died of cancer Friday at her daughter''s home in Altoona. The body will be cremated, and memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
Ms. South Detrick Lewis had lived in Des Moines all of her life. She was a team leader in the collating department at Robert Half and enjoyed gardening and sewing.
She is survived by two daughters, Laura Kuhl of North Liberty and Elizabeth Howell of Altoona; a son, Patrick South of Norwalk; a brother, C. Jon Lewis of Grimes; and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
