The Life of VERNON JOSEPH MEDICI
Vernon J Medici, 77, of 1073 N.E. 54th Ave. died of a stroke Monday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Medici, a lifelong Des Moines resident, retired as a material control checker for Ford Implement Co. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Ford Retirees Club and Boline-Manfredi post of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
A sister, Mary Beth Medici-Wilson of Loveland, Colo., survives.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa or the American Cancer Society.
