The Life of GLENN A RIDER
Services for Glenn A. Rider, 81, formerly of 1509 Fifty-sixth St., will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Rider died Thrusday at the New Haven Nursing Home, 5608 SW Ninth St. He was formerly a heating engineer for Carbon Coal Co. and later an office employee at the Iowa Limestone Association.
He was a member and secretary for several years of the Society for Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Corinne Boudewyns of Des Moines and Mrs. Lois Dailey of Dover, Arkansas; two sons, Col. R., Baird Rider of St. Petersburg, FL; and John H. of Fort Dodge; two sisters, Mrs. Aileen West and Mrs. Mary Miller and two brothers, F.H. and John W. Rider, all of Des Moines; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
