The Life of KENNETH R OLSON
Kenneth R Olson, 80, of 4126 E 24th Court, died of a stroke Sunday at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, MO. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Staves Memorial United Methodist Church of which he was a member. Burial weill be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Born in Jewell, Mr. Olson had lived in Des Moines most of his life and was a retired accountant with Maryland Casualty Co. Prior to that he had worked with Anton Insurance Co. for several years. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of Highland Park American Legion and 40 and 8.
Surviving are his wife, June; a son, Larry, and a daughter, Janice White, both of Des Moines; a sister, Joyce Applegate of Littleton, CO; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
