The Life of CHARLES IRA SEARCY
Services for Charles I. Searcy of 3609 Brinkwood Road will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Searcy died Friday at Des Moines General Hospital of complications due to a stroke. He was 76.
A lifelong resident of Des Moines, Mr. Searcy worked as a steamfitter and was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 33. After retiring form the union, he worked for Des Moines General Hospital. He was a member of Douglas Avenue Presbyterian Church and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine; a daughter, Joyce Grosland; and two sons, Charles E. and Luckey, all of Des Moines; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at hte funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
